JAMMU, Oct 6: Providing best infrastructure facilities to the people, Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria today visited Chinar Enclave in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency and kick-started the blacktopping work of road there, which was a long pending demand of the people of the area. This development work will be executed under the supervision of the Public Works Department (PWD).
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria said a few months ago that a deputation from the area had approached him. The deputation apprised him that the condition of roads in the area is pathetic and it should be resolved soon. Responding to people’s demands he immediately directed the concerned department to prepare the estimate of the road of the area and with his efforts the development work was started. He said that the BJP under the leadership of PM, Narendra Modi will change the entire spectrum of development in J&K as it is only a matter of days now when facilities and opportunities will knock the doors of each and every resident of the UT.
He further said that the incumbent Union administration led by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha deserves full credit for initiating revolutionary measures in every sector including the economic front. The Deputy Mayor appealed to the people to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their area to keep the environment clean and green. He also urged the people to follow all necessary safety and health guidelines while the construction work is in progress. He said that for the better development of the city, development works are being done in various areas and appropriate steps will be taken wherever development work is required.
Locals of the area have expressed satisfaction that they have heaved a sigh of relief ensured by the developmental works accomplished by the Deputy Mayor. Mandal president, Ranjit Singh, Harbans Chaudhary, Satpal Chaudhary, Surjit Kumar, Sunil Sharma, Davinder Sharma, Rinku Kumar and others were present.
