On March 17, he was operated by me and my team at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, where his both hip joints were replaced with latest technology dual mobility joints”, Dr Avtar informed.
He said that the patient was able to walk with the help of walker the very next day and after 6 days he was discharged from hospital with an advice to rest for one month. “Now, after almost three and half months, he is absolutely fit and doing his normal routine jobs. He is able to exercise quickly, can even dance, ride a cycle or bike perfectly”, Dr Avtar further added.
Dr Avtar Singh informed that that the hip implants which are fixed to Surinder Singh are “Dual Mobility Joints”, which can turn at 360 degree which helps one sit easily with folded legs and do his regular works as a normal person. He said these joints are more durable and can last for 40-50 years.
