KATHUA, Feb 7: Two bikers snatched ear rings of gold from a lady this afternoon at Patel Nagar Ward 15 here today.
According to police Pushpa Devi who was on her way to attend a marriage party in her neighborhood today was over powered by two bikers who snatched two golden rings from her ears and fled away.
Though lady raised an alarm and till the people of the vicinity gathered the bikers fled from the area. Later the matter was reported to police but by that time they bikers had crossed Lakhanpur.
This is second incident over last one week in the town. There is growing resentment among the people against the chain snatching acts in the town and they demanded that the police should intensify the vigil and curb the activities of vagabonds.
The Kathua police has however registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of the law.
