SAMBA, July 13: A bike rider died in road mishap after hit by unknown vehicle at Fly Over, Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Fly Over, Bari Brahmana early this morning, when a motorcycle bearing registration number JK21A- 9418 moving towards Jammu, on reaching near Fly Over was suddenly hit by a vehicle, as result the bike rider died on spot. But after the accident the driver along with vehicle fled from the spot. Some people immediately informed to police and the police from Bari Brahmana Police Station reached on the spot and took the body into their custody. Later the police shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for autopsy.
The deceased has been identified as Shams-ud- Din, son of Kisam Din resident of Teli Basti Bari Brahmana.
Police has taken cognizance the matter and started further investigation.
