JAMMU, Sept 27: Miran Sahib police arrested a biker along with 2 kilograms of poppy straw (bhukki) from Simbal Morh area.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Simbal Morh and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 2 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested the person on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Kulbir Singh, son of Bhagwan Singh, a resident of Govindpur, Simbal Morh.
A case under FIR Number 113/15 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
