Bhim Singh emphasizes for electoral reforms

JAMMU, Dec 4: Founder of JKNPP Prof Bhim Singh has emphasized for drastic electoral reforms to de-link elections from money and muscles power to rescue democracy from corrupt politicians.
He pleaded for introduction of proportional representation system with State funding in elections. He pointed out that corruption is the cancer in the heart of democracy as it is born in the womb of present electoral system.
Prof Singh expressed deep concern that there is no inclusion of fundamental rights in J&K Constitution and Constitution of India is not applicable to the State.
He also raised deep concern on the denial of human rights to PaK and PoK Refugees, denial of justice to the SPOs, NYC, SSB, VDCs volunteers who have been used as guinea pigs by the ruling parties.
Prof Bhim Singh emphatically argued in favour of urgent amendment in Article 370 to empower Parliament to assume its authority to Legislate inspect of subjects listed in union list in schedule VII.
He said that this is necessary to go for reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir by creating a Jammu Dogra Pahari State with Kashmir Ghati and Ladakh-Gilgit States to end all regional discriminations and also to end uncertainty within the State.
He appealed the voters to vote and support Panthers Party candidates with a promise that the party shall continue its battle for justice and peace inside and outside the Assembly.
Prof Singh also made appeal to India and Pakistan and the leadership of both countries to initiate Heart-to-Heart talks to generate good will.
