Bhim Singh dares Nawaz Sharief debate over UN resolution on J&K

JAMMU, Feb 18: In response to Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief’s statement asking India to implement UN Resolution on J&K, the JKNPP leader Prof Bhim Singh today retorted if Pakistan was prepared to withdraw from PoK as the pre-condition for UN resolution.
In a statement, Prof Singh said that V K Krishna Menon was the only Indian representative who had raised this issue at the Security Council in 1958 asking Pakistan to implement first directive of UN Resolution and then ask for the rest.
He suggested Nawaz Sharief that this was the time that Pak leadership should stop exploiting its own people in the name of UN Resolution which has been grossly violated by Pakistan itself. “Another violation of UN Resolution was the annexation of 28,000 sq. miles of J&K Territory in Gilgit-Baltistan region which was annexed by Pakistan as its 6th province in 2009. Again Indian leadership and the Parliament did not condemn this violation of the United Nations by Pakistan which needs to be condemned,” he said and invited Nawaz Sharief on any platform in India, Pakistan or the United Nations on the subject.
He said that the matter should be discussed openly and be left to the judgment of the people of India and Pakistan to decide as to who is the real violator of UN Resolutions and whether UN Resolutions could be implemented by Pakistan?
He also advised the Indian leadership to leave this issue to be settled one for all with Pakistan on a table by the leadership of Panthers Party alone.
