JAMMU, July 3: Chief patron of National Panthers Party (NPP) Prof Bhim Singh has demanded creation of separate Jammu State.
Talking to media-persons the NPP leader asked the people of Jammu to wake up from slumber after 67 years sleep, tolerating discrimination and humiliation from the Kashmiri rulers who have always picked up some opportunist elements of Jammu to govern and squeeze the people of Jammu Pradesh.
Mr Singh said the Dogras, the Paharies, Gujjar-Bakerwals, Gaddies and all have suffered for six decades. He said that latest example of this kind of discrimination is the change of rules for the B Ed session, extending B Ed session in Jammu Pradesh for two years and limiting it to one year in the Kashmir province, knowing it best that Verma Committee Report is not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir.
Secondly, how there could be different parameters for Jammu province and Kashmir when it is still one State. This is a tragedy that the people of Jammu had voted for saffron party in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections being tempted by hollow slogans of the BJP in the name of Hindutva. The party has struck a blow to the people of Jammu region by ignoring delimitation, 15 lakhs suffering refugees, employment, even agreeing to shift AIIMS from Jammu to Kashmir and now a final blow to the entire people of Jammu particularly the students, youth and the intellectuals of Jammu Pradesh by demonstrating authoritarianism that the people of Jammu are a colony of slaves. And BJP with 26 MLAs have surrendered the entire people of Jammu Pradesh to the Kashmiri rulers.
Prof Singh has called on all Jammuites to join hands and get rid of Kashmiri rulers and their domestic servants once for all. The only way out is, Panthers Party, which was founded in 1982 to provide equity, justice, equality and social and political justice to the people of entire Jammu Pradesh from Poonch to Kishtwar and Kathua to Banihal.
NPP leader also called on youth and students from different schools of thought in Jammu Pradesh to oppose, expose and depose the blood sucking rulers of the State.
