JAMMU, Sept 8: President of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Prof Bhim Singh has backed National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah for his statement on Afghanistan Government.
The JKNPP chief lauded Dr Farooq Abdullah for supporting secularism, democracy and rule of law in Afghanistan. Prof Bhim Singh said that the statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah on Afghanistan Government is very bold, courageous and gives a clear message of India’s sovereign, secular, socialist and democratic constitution.
He also hoped that the Taliban Government at present shall also stand by old tradition of Pathans keeping brotherhood and secularism alive so that Afghanistan shall remain tied with the earlier Pathans’ emotional links with all communities and religions. “This is the message which every Taliban should keep in mind so that neighbourers will not get scared of Taliban,” he said, adding, this can keep Afghanistan a globally friendly nation as it used to be earlier.
Prof Singh also backed Dr Abdullah on his stand on Article 370 and revival of the Assembly through elections. He said the critics of Dr Farooq Abdullah should understand that his statements on national and international issues are bold, secular and friendly which should be understood well by all.
