SRINAGAR, July 8: Prof Bhim Singh, chief patron of National Panthers Party has cautioned against the nefarious designs of the NC-Congress alliance to create divide among the people of Kashmir valley and Jammu province on the eve of Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the Panthers Kashmir Council comprising all the district presidents, block presidents, State and provincial office bearers, he called upon the youth and the students in the Valley to defeat ugly designs of ruling coalition who intend to create communal divide in the State as they did on the eve of last Assembly elections.
The Panthers Party leaders who attended the meeting included Farooq Ahmed Dar, provincial president Kashmir, Masood Andrabi, Manjoor Naik, Mehboob Illahi, Maqbool Malik and others.
On the occasion, Prof Bhim Singh also appointed Syed Muzaffar as convenor of Kashmir unit of NPSU (National Panthers Students Union). A committee of 9-member executive of NPSU was also appointed by Prof Bhim Singh in his capacity as the chief patron of the NPSU.
Mohd Iqbal Jan, JKNPP district president Bandipora, was given rousing reception on his acquittal by the High Court of Delhi. He was given life sentence by a Delhi Court before Prof Bhim Singh argued his case successfully.
Prof Bhim Singh said that the old and outdated slogans of autonomy or self-rule or 370 have no relevance to the present situation. He argued strongly for the agenda of the Panthers Party to reorganize J&K by assuring justice and equity to all the three regions of the State. He said that reorganization is the only way out for the resolution of all the problems of J&K.
