Bhat briefs regarding prevailing COVID-19 situation

SRINAGAR, May 18: BJP’s Kashmir Unit today said if prevailing COVID-19 lockdown will be successful; it will benefit the people in long run and briefed Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh about the prevailing situation in the Valley and party’s response to crisis.
Party’s Kashmir media in-charge and youth leader, Manzoor Bhat said if the present lockdown will be successful, it will benefit people in the long run. He said once the lockdown remains successful and Pandemic is contained then there are chances that it will be lifted.
Bhat said the present situation needs patience and lockdown is the only solution to overcome the present crisis in the Valley. Now police, doctors, and other frontline workers are working day and night to contain the deadly virus and people have also understood the gravity of the situation.
“We can get benefits of this lockdown in future, if people will seriously follow the Government advisories on the ground, so that in future months, there will be no need to implement strict lockdown,” he added.
Bhat complimented the efforts of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh for extending their helping hand to the people of Kashmir during the crisis situation.
While briefing about the Kashmir’s situation to Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Bhat expressed his gratitude to Central Government headed by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for airlifting seven oxygen plants from Germany to Srinagar.
“These new oxygen plants will boost the exiting capacity in the Valley and will help in curbing the increasing demand of oxygen cylinders in the Valley,” he added.
Bhat also welcomed 500-bedded makeshift COVID- Hospital is being built by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) at Khonmoh on Srinagar outskirts.
During the virtual interaction, Dr. Jitendra Singh also appreciated the efforts of Manzoor Bhat and other party men for reaching to people in the Valley along with ration and other essentials. He described Bhat and other party activists as frontline “COVID19 warriors” for helping people during the pandemic crisis.
Dr. Jitendra Singh urged party cadre to reach to people and provide them every possible help during COVID and take care of destitute and poor in their localities.
On the occasion, Dr. Jitendra Singh assured Bhat that he will try to get every possible help from Centre for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.  He was also informed about the prevailing situation in hospitals, availability of beds, and patient care.
