NAGROTA, Aug 9: MLA Nagrota and National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today said the initiative with Bharti Foundation with regard to imparting of quality education under its Quality Support Programme has shown discernible results and exuded confidence that the innovative measure would prove a game-changer for youngsters to excel in academics.
“A right beginning has been made and much more is needed to be done for elevating the standard of education in the Nagrota constituency”, Rana said during interactive session with the Principals of 15 schools, adopted under the programme.
The meeting, interallia discussed the roadmap for the current academic year and reviewed the implementation of the programme in the designated schools.
The MLA acknowledged the efforts of the Jammu Governorate in pulling out all stops to ensure that every child enjoys access to the highest quality of education. He said the combined efforts have yielded dividends in terms of quality education and setting newer goals for young students to excel in academics.
He expressed satisfaction over the feedback that students were showing a matching enthusiasm in making the programme a success. He said the youngsters of Nagrota were second to none and given chance they will show their immense mettle in immense measure.
The Provincial President exuded confidence that the private-public initiative will enable the young students of the constituency to excel in academics.
Rana said aims at strengthening initiatives to improve quality of education in the identified Government Schools; analyzing, identifying and prioritizing key areas of improvement through, joint discussions and developing initiatives and action plan to improve the overall quality of education and school environment; supporting initiatives and schemes of the Government wherever applicable and bringing Bharti Foundation’s own resources and funds to further leverage the Government’s efforts to improve quality of education in the identified schools.
Besides Project Head Bharti Foundation Anil Bhat, the meeting was attended by Director School Education, Jammu, Ravinder Singh, J K Sudan, Chief Education Officer, Jammu and the Principals of the designated schools.
