Bharat Swabhiman Trust protests against Delhi rape case

JAMMU, Dec 25: Bharat Swabhiman Trust today held a protest against the gang-rape of 23-year-old Para-Medical girl student in Delhi.
Trust organised a peaceful dharna and candle light march to express solidarity with the victim. The procession started this evening under the leadership of the Trust district president Amarjeet Singh, from the Airport road. Marching towards the Satwari Chowk over two hundred citizens, students and social activists, shouted slogans against the inhuman act.
The protestors were carrying placards and demanding capital punishment for the accused in the gang-rape case. Trust also condemned the police action against protesters at India Gate and criticized Congress led UPA Govt for inaction, indecision and insensitivity in this gang-rape case, which led to the prevailing chaotic situation in the country.
