JAMMU, Aug 12: Bharat Petroleum–pioneer in the retailing of fuels with modern infrastructure has once again touched the customers in a different way by launching a “3-day Wonder” Scheme and “Give it Up Campaign” on the occasion of Independence Day at their retail outlet M/s Shanker Filling Station at Kunjwani.
The scheme was launched jointly by TM LPG, BPCL Jammu, Vikram Gupta and TC Retail, Rajesh Sharma. The dealer of the outlet Avataar and other BPCL officers including OP Langeh, Ankur Mishra, Mayank Singh and Mayur Mehta were also present on the occasion.
In this scheme, 1 litre petrol/1 litre diesel will be given free to the customer on purchase of 1 litre petrol lubricant/diesel lubricant. This scheme will be available on 16 petrol pumps of BPCL in Jammu from today to August 14 which fall under municipal limits.
The scheme will be available at KN Filling Station in Bantalab, Fairdeal Filling Station, Muktanand Auto Aids, HS Surinder Singh and Co, Bharat Motor and Cycle Co, Shah Ji Filling Station, Kashmir Automobiles Stores, Amar Filling Station, Auto Fuel, National Motors, Shankar Filling Station, Jai Durga Filling Station, Kasturi Lal Gupta and Sons, Rahat Filling Station and Trikuta Filling Station.
Meanwhile, Bharat Petroleum has also launched “Give it Up Campaign” today at BPCL Petrol Pump M/s Shankar Filling Station. Motorists coming to refuel their vehicles were requested to give up their subsidy so that any poor family can get LPG connection.
Government of India has initiated “Give it Up Campaign” where we request all the LPG customers who can afford LPG at market price to let go off the subsidy attached to the domestic gas. With each person leaving LPG subsidy, GOI is planning to provide one poor family with LPG connection free of cost (without security deposits). Even today 35 per cent of the country’s population is deprived of using the eco-friendly fuel LPG and are exposed to high degree of indoor pollution caused by using fuels like coal, fire wood, crop waste, etc.  In fact it is women and children who suffer most from health issues caused by indoor pollution.
This action of giving up subsidy by individuals will help the Government to generate resources to provide a better quality of life to every citizen of the country by getting them an LPG connection. Till date around 16 lakh customers have given up LPG subsidy pan India and 9400 customers in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Retail, Lube and LPG team have conducted dealer/distributors cluster meet in which the participants have been explained the whole model of “3 day Wonder” Scheme. The speakers apprised the participants that the dealer will get the amount of fuel free which he is passing to the customer on invoice when he uplifts a minimum of 600 litre of lubricant from July 15 to August 15 primary billing. After passing on the fuel free to the customer, still dealer will be retaining approx 20-35 per litre on different products respectively.
