JAMMU, Nov 28: Further intensifying his election campaign, Bharat Chowdhary, PDP candidate from Jammu East, visited various areas of the Old Jammu City like Chand Nagar, Rani Park, Khilloney Wali Gali, Mohalla Afghana, Koocha Nahar Singh etc. He also visited Gurudwara at Raghunath Chowk where he was felicitated by the Granthi.
While interacting with the locals, Mr Chowdhary was apprised about the lack of development in these areas. “It is indeed sad that residents of Jammu City have to suffer from chronic shortage of drinking water. Only reason being total apathy towards genuine issues of the people by BJP as well as ruling Congress – NC combine,” he said.
The PDP candidate also observed that instead of any real development, politics of name plates has been carried out. Projects have simply not been started after inauguration by some VIP or have been allotted to some favorite contractors who have simply siphoned off majority of funds meant for poor public, he alleged. There is no real infrastructure like Lanes, water pipes or sanitation but these name plates stick out like sore thumbs at every street corner, he added.
Bharat Chowdhary assu-red the people that with PDP coming to power, this situation is bound to change for better and he will make sure that his slogan Sabke liye – Sabke Sath – Hamesha’ is practically practiced and implemented.
