JAMMU, Oct 10: Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, senior BJP leader and Chairman District Development Committee (DDC) Jammu, has asserted that there is no dearth of funds for development in Jammu and Kashmir under the PM Narendra Modi led Govt at the Centre and this is evident from the ongoing unprecedented development projects across the Union Territory.
He expressed this during a function in which he kick started the road construction work at Domana village here today. This road project was taken up under the State Capex with an estimated cost of Rs 90 lakh.
The DDC Chairman said that the road construction in this area was a pending demand of the locals of this area and after its completion not only the people of this area but also those commuting through this area to reach various destinations will benefit.
Bharat Bhushan said that earlier people of Jammu region were subjected to discrimination due to which Jammu remained neglected in terms of development but now there is equitable development that stands proved by the development works in every nook and corner of the Union Territory.
He said that under the incumbent BJP Govt at the Centre and the Union Territory Administration led by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha great strides are being taken in development in J&K thus transforming the entire landscape and scenario of this Union Territory.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman also interacted with the locals of the area to take stock of their problems and issues. After giving them a patient hearing, he assured them of getting all their genuine issues resolved at the earliest.
