Jammu, July 1: State Bank of India (SBI) today opened an ATM at Chintamani Market near Yog Ashram CRPF Camp, in the holy town of Katra today.
The ATM was inaugurated by Dr.M.K.Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Regional Head of the Bank S K Kapoor along with officials of the Bank.
Dr. Bhandari thanked the Bank for providing ATM in the Chintamani market area as it will facilitate yatris, para military personnel as well as the people of the area otherwise they had to go to distant areas for withdrawal of cash.
Kapoor, in his address said, it was a long pending demand of the yatris, para military personnel as well as the people and it is the tradition of the Bank to provide banking facilities to all.
Anil Kumar, Branch Manager SBI, Branch Katra along with prominent citizen Ravi Nag, Surinder Advocate, Rajesh Bharti, Vijay Khajuria, Vivek Gupta, Aashish Gandotra and Vimal Dubey were also present on the occasion.
Kapoor informed that SBI will install one Self Service Kiosk (SSK) and Coin Vending Machine (CVM) at the shopping complex. He assured that the Bank will open one full fledged CBS Branch in or around the Cantonment by the end of June this year.
