JAMMU, July 7: Continuing his mass contact programme to listen to the grievances of different areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency, former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today reached at Gadigarh Panchayat  of Gandhi Nagar constituency where locals highlighted their grievances including irregular supply of all the basic amenities like drinking water, poor delivery of ration items, worst condition of roads, no maintenance of lanes and drains and lacks of developmental activities in the area since the coming of BJP-PDP Govt in the State.
Expressing concern over non-availability of civic amenities to people, Raman Bhalla, asked the Government to give priority to solving the problems of the common masses. He said that the State is passing through difficult times with self seekers and anti-people elements taking centre-stage and therefore a duty has cast upon all to change the discourse under the banner of Congress and help in steering Jammu and Kashmir to political stability. Bhalla said the people have right to know as to what happened to the promises made by the BJP for more than six decades to grant citizenship to the West Pakistan refugees, sealing the borders to check any sort of infiltration and crush the militancy by strengthening the security.
Lashing out at BJP-PDP for betraying Jammu people after seeking mandate on false promises, Bhalla expressed concern over governance deficit, administrative inertia, developmental break-down and irreparable dent to communal harmony caused during the past over two and half years.  He said that administrative apparatus has badly collapsed with regard to development and ensuring utility services.
Bhalla alleged that Govt is not performing according to the Agenda of Alliance. The farmers, business community, traders, students are totally fed up with this non-performing Govt., which has failed on all fronts. He said while the people of Kashmir were suffering due to the continuous unrest in the Valley, the people in Jammu are facing the worst-ever situation due to ceasefire violations from across the border. Anger is brewing among the people against the BJP leadership for betraying people of this region.
