Bhagwan Parsuram Jayanti celebrations from May 4

JAMMU, Apr 16: Four-day religious programs are being organized by Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade to celebrate Bhagwan Parsuram Jayanti with religious fervor and gaiety.
“The religious programs will commence on May 4 with a grand Shobha Yatra and conclude on May 7 with traditional Yagnopavit Havan, Pujan of Bhagwan Parsuram Ji Maharaj and Yogyapaveet ceremony in the premises of Sabham” said Ved Parkash Sharma, president of the Brahman Sabha, while addressing a press conference, here today.
While elaborating, he said that the Shobha Yatra will be taken out at 3 P.M. from the Sabha premises, which after passing through Moti Bazar, Pacca Danga, Chowk Chabutra, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, Shaheedi Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar and Shalamar, will culminate at Chanakya Chowk Parade Jammu.
Shri-Shri 1008 Swami Hari Chatanya Puri Maharaj Jee of Kama Rajasthan will also accompany the Shobha Yatra. World known religious Dharam Guru will deliver Parvachan on the life Bhagwan Parshuram Jee on 5, 6 and 7 May in the premises of Brahman Sabha Parshuram Bhawan from 3 to 6 P.M, he added.
Mr Sharma further informed that the Sabha has invited applications from the young Hindu boys to get Yagnopavit Sanskar performed. The applications for the purpose should reach at the office of DBPS Parade Jammu before 28th April 2019, he added and appealed people of the State from different walks of life to participate in large numbers to seek blessings of Lord Parshuram Ji.
On behalf of the Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma also appealed to the communities not to get swayed by any sectarian move or anti national elements who are hell bent to spoil the unity and integrity of the country for their petty ends. He urged the local administration to provide necessary logistics like security, cleanliness, drinking water and uninterrupted power supply.
