BGSBU’s B-Tech programmes admission initiated

RAJOURI, June 26: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University kicked off admission process to 5 Engineering courses in the College of Engineering & Technology.
The University started counselling for 300 seats of engineering in 5 B-Tech courses viz Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering, Information Technology & Engineering and  Civil Engineering.
On the first day of counselling procedure, huge rush of students was witnessed in the University. Adequate arrangements were made for the convenience of the aspirants and their relatives. A proper security arrangement was also made to avoid any untoward incident.
Meanwhile Vice Chancellor, Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal along with Registrar Mohammad Rashid Choudhary, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof AK Koul, Principal CoET Prof Mohammad Asghar and Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta also visited College of Engineering & Technology and took stock of the admission procedure.
Expressing satisfaction over the smooth functioning of the counselling, Vice Chancellor said that the University has received overwhelming response from the aspirants of all regions of J&K who have come to opt engineering in this University. He said that this is a reflection of the quality of education being imparted by the University.
Vice Chancellor said that the Campus has emerged as top destination in J&K in the B-Tech and this year around 1500 candidates appeared in the entrance test for getting a chance of admissions in the B Tech programme.
Today counselling of candidates with serial number 1 -450 were made while tomorrow, candidates from serial number 451 to 649 in open category, 451 to 1164 of Poonch and Rajouri regions, 451 to 1319 in SC category, 451 to 944 in ST category and No 451 to 1205 in DS/. UPC category have been called for counselling.
