BGSBU to disburse scholarship from University fund

RAJOURI, Aug 17:  With a view to ease the position of such  students of BGSBU, whose scholarships cheques were misdelivered, the Vice Chancellor Prof  I  A  Hamal has taken the decision to disburse equivalent amount to aggrieved students out of university funds.
According to a notification  in this regard, “such of the students who have been sanctioned scholarship from the concerned Government Departments and have not received the scholarships amount till date through the University are required to submit application along with affidavit stating that he/she has not received the Scholarship amount sanctioned by the Government department  due to him/her as per sanction order, through the University.”
Meanwhile, reacting to the concerns raised by a few organizations regarding the misdelivery of some Scholarship cheques, the Vice Chancellor expressed his disappointment and anguish with  the intentional attempt to defame the  university. The Vice Chancellor stated that The University has taken the action warranted by the report submitted by the internal committee constituted to enquire the incident. The concerned office Assistant has been put under suspension and the charge of  Dean Students has been assigned to  a Senior Professor. He further stated that the University will not be found   wavering if further action becomes due after the investigation is concluded.
The Vice Chancellor has appealed all stake holders not to hamper day-to-day functioning of the University  so that academics of the  students may not suffer. He also appealed all well wishers and the civil society to let the university concentrate on goals it has set for itself.
