BGSBU launches admission process for 2020; VC announces fee reduction

RAJOURI, Feb 11: Prof Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri today launched the admission process for various Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Diploma programs from 2020 onwards.
The registration process for all courses will be both online and offline. The admission prospectus along with application form will be available on the university’s website, along with information on registration details and subsequent procedures.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Musarrat said that various measures have been adopted to make admission process more transparent and accessible to all the students. He announced some important decisions, including reduction in the fee structure of various programs and introduction of new academic programs from the forthcoming academic session.
Prof Musarrat announced a significant cut in the fee structure of MBA, MBA Hospitality and Tourism, MSc IT, MCA, MSc Microbiology, Economics and Diploma programs offered by University Polytechnic. He also announced the introduction of four new courses from the forthcoming academic session including, Masters in Environmental Sciences, 2 years MCA program, 5 years integrated MCA program and PG Diploma in Childhood Care and Education.
The Vice Chancellor also announced the introduction of three optional courses in Kashmiri, Gojri and Pahari languages. He said that these decisions have been taken to effectively support the students on the path of success. Maintaining that BGSBU is committed to provide affordable quality education to all strata’s of the society. Prof Musarrat said that the university is progressing exponentially and geared up to render seminal contributions in nation building and creation of knowledge society.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs, said that students’ friendly decisions reflect the vision of the Vice Chancellor to develop BGSBU as a centre of excellence in academics and research. He also presented a brief overview of the admission process for the forthcoming academic session.
Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri, Registrar of the University, said that under the leadership of Prof Musarrat, the University has achieved many milestones in terms of infrastructure and academics. Deans of various Schools, Heads of Departments, Faculty members and officers of the University were present on the occasion.
