Excelsior Correspondent
RAJOURI, Sept 7:  Reiterating that the people especially youth who are residing in the Rajouri and Poonch districts are the major stakeholder in every affairs of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) senior leader Advocate Vibodh Gupta today highlighted that the educated youth of twin border districts are capable enough to compete with any talent across the country and they must stop to be treated as a ‘neglected lot’ by any recruitment agency, organisation, autonomous body, selection board, authority etc.
After meeting a large number of deputations from twin districts who gathered at his residence here today to highlight the present scenario which is prevailing in these districts in general and the present trends of recruitment in BGSBU in particular, Vibodh assured them that he will take up this matter with the authorities concerned and if need arises, he would also take up the issue with the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti who happens to be the Chancellor of the University.
Vibodh was of the view that university was established to uplift the young people living in the twin border districts. He said that the educated youth in twin districts have ample talent as they are cracking IAS, IFS, KAS and other competitive exams at State and national level. These people have attained higher education by facing many hardships as previous Governments have failed to provide even basic facilities, moreover, they are peace loving people who always remain firm with the national cause during wars, insurgencies and they also rejected the antinational forces ‘tooth and nail’.
Vibodh said that the educated talent of twin districts must be given priority in providing jobs and employment avenues and their ignorance would not be tolerated at any cost.
After being informed by the deputationists that the people of twin districts especially those who were temporarily working on these posts from three to seven years were ignored in  recent recruitments by the University authorities, he said that being a State University and Chief Minister as its Chancellor the Varsity must adopt the recruitment policy for the State and regularise these contractual and adhoc employees as their carrier was at stake.
