Addressing the rally Rakesh Sharma commended the role of Indian Army and justified the action of Major Gogoi saying entire nation is behind the army and Major who by making a stone pelter as a human shield not only saved the EVMS and other Government property but the stone pelters and the mob which had assembled in the area as well as the army personnel with his timely and bold decision.
He, while condemning the action of stone pelters and separatists said the stone pelting and unrest which is confined from three to four districts of Kashmir can’t dictate terms to the people of other 18 peaceful districts.
Making a strong dig at Omar Abdullah, he said the NC right from days of Maharaja Hari Singh had taken an anti national stance and this can’t be tolerated any more now.
Her said the mob and stone pelters would have attacked the police station in the area had Maj Gogoi not shown wits and acted swiftly. Instead of rewarding such a brave and active army officer it is unfortunate that Omar Abdullah has made such outbursts which are condemnable.
The BD activists including Vicky Choudhary, Rohit Anand, Astik Kohli and others participated in the rally which was taken out from Satwari Chowk to Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan Residency road.
