JAMMU, Aug 14: Backward Classes Union Social (BCUS) has decided to observe August 15, 2012 as ‘Black Day’ in the State in view of the State Government’s negligent attitude in reference to the due rights of the State OBCs, whose comprise 60% of the total State population.
In a meeting of the Union held here today, all the speakers vehemently attacked the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his void progress in the so far conducted meetings of the State OBC Advisory and Development Board constituted on February 15, 2010.
They said that Omar Abdullah as a chairman of the OBC Advisory Board, in all the meetings approved the list of genuine demands of OBC but no result came out so far.
They alleged that NC led Government in the State has snatched the rights of the State OBCs on the name of RBA (20%) and ALC (3%) by changing the definition of the ‘Socially and educationally Backward Classes’, which included only caste and not area.
The tall claims of the ruling partners that J&K State is an integral part of the country have been exposed with the non-implementation of the Mandal report of 1992 in the State.
