BISHNAH, May 4: A meeting of Block Congress Committee (BCC) Bishnah was held here today in the office of Block Congress Committee Bishnah, wherein the speakers highlighted various problems being faced by the people of the area.
Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and former Member, CWC-AICC, was specially invited to attend the same as chief guest. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Harshvardhan Sharma, president BCC, Bishnah. The meeting was also attended by the members of Booth Committees, office bearers and other prominent leaders, Chowkidar, Numberdars, Panchs and Sarpanchs.
While appreciating the role of all the polling agents of Assembly segment Bishnah-74 during the Parliamentary elections for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Charak praised the party workers who worked honestly and dedicatedly for the party.
On the occasion, almost all the speakers highlighted the problems being faced by the people residing in the area regarding irrigation, electricity, agriculture etc and requested Charak for their early redressal.
Foremost demands made by the people on the occasion was to make all irrigation tube-wells functional and ensure adequate supply through irrigation canals, change old electric wires and poles to avoid any untoward incident, set up a transformer repair workshop in the block by the PDD and immediate repair of roads.
The workers further demanded one more fire tender from the Government, which has provided only one fire tender for a vast area of whole border belt of Arnia.
The workers unanimously decided in the presence of Charak that they will fight tooth and nail for getting these above mentioned demands fulfilled to which Charak also assured his full cooperation.
