JAMMU, Nov 11: Bari Brahmana Industrial Association (BBIA) today criticized the casual attitude of Power Development Department (PDD) towards Industrial Sector in respect of release of new connections/ additional power loads in favour of the Industrial Units located in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana.
The issue was raised in a meeting held today under the presidentship of Annil Suri, president, BBIA. In the meeting, the present members expressed strong resentment towards the delaying tactics adopted by the office of the Power Development Commissioner for not holding the meeting since last six months for the sanction of new connections/additional load of the Industrial Units (IUs).
The speakers alleged that the unit holders are suffering very badly as they have already invested crores of rupees on the Plant and Machinery and sitting idle due to non release of power connections in spite of power load available at 50X2 MVA Station at Bari Brahmana.
The association appealed Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to kindly intervene in the matter and issue necessary orders to clear the pending cases on urgent basis which will provide great relief to the Industrial Sector.
