BBIA demands shifting of LPG Bottling Plant

JAMMU, June 18: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has urged upon the concerned authorities for the shifting of LPG Bottling Plant from Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana to some where else.
In a meeting of the Association held here under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan in presence of Suresh Mahajan, Ajay Langer, Vivek Singhal. Viraaj Malhotra and others the members discussed the serious issue related to the working of Hindustan Petroleum LPG Bottling Plant in SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana which is fire hazard and creating hurdles in the movement of the traffic in the industrial complex.
While deliberation on the issue, members present in the meeting, showed their concern in respect of safety of their units working adjoining to the Bottling Plant as in case of any incident due to leakage of LPG in the plant or tankers parked near the unit, whole of the industrial complex shall turn into a fireball resulting huge financial losses to units as well as thousands of human life also which are at stake.
The members also raised the issue regarding the un authorized parking of tankers and trucks outside Bottling Plant which has always created a mess resulting into huge traffic jam due to which the precious time and we fear that in case of any incident with the involvement of LPG tankers and trucks due to leakage of gas, a massive fire may break out in the industrial complex which will create havoc.
The BBIA requested the Dy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, who is also Industries Minister and RS Tara, District Development Commissioner, Samba to take up the matter immediately with the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation for the shifting of LPG Bottling Plant as early as possible from the SIDCO Industrial Complex Bari Brahmana to some other suitable place for the safety of the whole industrial complex.
