BBIA delegation calls on DC Lakhanpur Poll Post

JAMMU, Dec 18: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, met Pankaj Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Toll Post Lakhanpur J&K at his office chamber today in the presence of other office bearers and discussed various issues.
During discussions, Mahajan extended gratitude to new Deputy Commissioner, Toll Post Lakhanpur and appreciated the steps taken by him for streamlining the system for the clearance of Industrial goods for Toll Tax exemption on priority basis.
Mahajan also requested the Deputy Commissioner for the introduction of MIS at Lakhanpur Check Post for the on line submission of Toll Tax forms by the Industrial units. He also suggested that the Excise & Taxation Department at Lakhanpur should also take corrective measures to plug the entry of under value goods i.e. corrugated boxes, welding electrodes and other related products in Union Territory of J&K with the consultation of State Tax Department, unaccounted import of cement.
Pankaj Sharma gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by BBIA & assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis. The meeting was also attended by the officials of Toll Post Lakhanpur.
Mr Mahajan was accompanied by senior members Viraaj Malhotra, Tarun Singla, Ajay Langer, Viraaj Malhotra, Rajesh Jain, Vivek Singhal and Vinay Mahajan, vice president Kathua Industrial Unit Association.
