Baru meets Dr Jitendra Singh, demands upgradation of Shivkhori Shrine

NEW DELHI, Mar 4: Bhartiya Janta Party senior leader and JMC Councillior Sanjay Kumar Baru today called on Union Minister and Member Parliament from Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary Constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh here in his office at New Delhi and discussed various issues including upgradation of infrastructure, various problems being faced by employees of the Shrine as well as pilgrims and Ponywalas at Shree Shivkhori Shrine Board in District Reasi.
Sanjay Baru, who is a local of Tehsil Pouni, Distt Reasi, submitted memorandum to Dr Jitendra Singh seeking hike in the salaries of the Shrine Board employees at par with permanent employees and as per new Service Bylaws. He strongly advocated for Cable Car Project from village Kotla to Shivkhori Shrine and further to Sangar which will ensure alternate route for pilgrims and other utilities as per recommendations of Deputy Commissioner (Vice Chairman) SSKSB.
He also sought upgradation of Primary Health Centre Pouni into Sub District Hospital, the file and DPR of which already stand recommended by Deputy Commissioner Reasi and Director Health Services Jammu to Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
He also demanded immediate construction of a ponyshed for ponies at base camp Ransoo to ensure hassle-free movement of Yatries as a number of ponies usually remain standing in front of Yatra Parchi Counter thereby making public nuisance.
Dr Jitendra Singh listened to all the demands and ensured that all steps would be taken to address these genuine public demands.
