Baru adopts Patta Chungi ICDS Center

JAMMU, Aug 1: Narinder Modi led  Union Government is committed and working hard to eliminate malnutrition by implementing integrated child development schemes at grass root level stated by BJP senior leader and JMC Councilor Ward 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru while addressing a community based camp organised by ICDS project Kot Balwal zone, supervisor Kanta Sharma at Udheywala Bohri.
Sanjay Baru said that Integrated Child Development Service Centers are working hard to provide nutrition and health education for women (15-45years) and supplementary nutrition to the child below six years, pregnant and lactating mothers.
He further said under the chairmanship of elected representatives, councilors in ULB and Sarpanches in rural area, these centers are providing pre-school education and regular health checkup of children below 6yeas and pregnant and lactating mothers.
For the better coordination and functioning Sanjay Baru on the occasion adopted the Patta Chungi ICDS project centre.
Kanta Sharma in her welcome address said about the importance of healthy diet under nutrition and highlighted the under Poshan activities during CBE. She also spoke on growth monitoring as the theme of CBE.
Weight and height checkups were also held to deduce the CAM & MAM children. Baby kits were also distributed among the healthy babies.
Health workers and helpers of nearest centers were also present in the camp.
