Bari Brahmana Police arrests hard core criminal

SAMBA, Aug 24: Bari Brahmana Police today arrested hardcore criminal Mohammed Rafiq son of Late Abdul Majeed of Trait Basti, Bari Brahmana and his accomplice Avinash Kumar alias Munshi, son of Badri Nath of Himachal Pradesh at present Dhollian, Bari Brahmana for involvement in a murderous assault on father son duo at Bari Brahmna on August 17.
The duo were arrested from Flourisheen Hotel, Hauz Rani Market, South Delhi by a team of Samba Police led by SDPO Baribrahmana Shazaad Salaria under the supervision of SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
The SSP Samba said the assault has evoked a strong protest in Bari Brahmana and people had given bandh call on August 19 as the protestors were demanding immediate arrest of Mohammed Rafiq mastermind of the assault.
He said Bari Brahmana police on August 17 had registered a case FIR NO 97/2014 under section 307/341/148/149 RPC against seven accused persons. Out of which three were arrested on spot. They included Vinod S/O Ram Pal, Vikrant alias Billa S/O Sewa Ram and Naseem S/O Abdul Majid all residents of Bari Brahmana. The other four accused including Mohammed Rafiq were absconding, he added.
SSP said different teams were constituted for the apprehension of all the accused persons and teams were dispatched to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Udhampur and Delhi by train.
The accused being a hard core criminal was aware about mobile surveillance and was frequently changing his mobile to avoid technical surveillance and police was facing it difficult to trace his location. However alter he was trapped with the active support of Delhi Police, he added.
He said SHO Bari Brahmna also played a vital role in surveillance and arrest of the criminal.
