Baramulla admn installs LED screen, more to come

Baramulla, June 22: Happening for the first time in Kashmir valley, district administration Baramulla today installed an LED screen in Baramulla town with an aim to inform people regarding COVID-19 pandemic.
The screens will be used for multiple purposes, beginning with the COVID-19 related information, along with the trends in science and educational front. Apart from keeping the various stakeholders updated regarding various happenings in the districts and outside the district.
The district administration will also use the screen to display information regarding current affairs, agriculture, Horticulture, sports, education, health and other important fields.
Officials said that the installation of the LED screen has been carried on the lines of smart city, with more such screens to come up in various parts of the town in coming days.
Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, G N Itoo said that the administration is planning to use the public spaces such as along highway, bus stands and Government offices for the purpose.
“We have received all the material from the concerned departments which will be transmitted via the screens that will be installed in the district. The dissemination of information via screens has more advantages that the traditional mode of putting out the information,” he said.
