Bar to continue agitation

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Sept 5: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu conducted its General House meeting today.
The General House of the Bar Association took a review of the developments in the ongoing agitation and discussed the future line of action. The house was of the opinion that the Government despite knowing the fact that the demand for construction of multi storeyed building in the Janipur Court Complex, Jammu is very genuine and is supported by the entire people of Jammu province, is showing irresponsive and stubborn attitude towards the solution of the issues projected by the Bar.
The lawyers present in the meeting expressed their anguish over the unreasonable attitude of the Administration. The members unanimously were of the view that ongoing agitation of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu needs to be taken to logical conclusion with respectable solution.
The General House of the Bar Association unanimously decided to continue the agitation till the Government provides the funds for the construction of multi storeyed building as demanded by the Bar. The General House asked the LG Administration not to make a stand off on such a genuine but small issue having very little financial implications. The Administration should earliest concede the genuine demand of the Bar Association to end the suffering of the litigant public and the lawyers.
The work in all the courts including High Court of J&K, District Courts, Tribunals, Commissions and all the Revenue courts remained suspended today also in support of the demand projected by the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu.
