JAMMU, Aug 28: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu today made an appeal to the people of Jammu Province to make tomorrow’s Bandh call a grand success.
The appeal was made by the President of the Bar M K Bhardwaj while chairing a meeting convened to discuss the preparations made for Jammu Bandh call for tomorrow. The Bar has already received letters of support from all the District Bars of Jammu province including Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar, besides from Akhnoor, Bishnah, R S Pura, Billawar, Basholi, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Bhaderwah, Katra, Surankote and Hiranagar Bar Associations.
The Bandh call of the Bar has already been supported by all the political parties including BJP, Congress, National Conference, PDP, AAP, BSP, Apni Party, National Panther Party, Ek Jutt Party, DSS, Shiv Sena, Duggar Pardesh party, besides by social organizations like Team Jammu, organizations of different Biradaries, District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jammu ( (DGPC), International Sikh Awarness Front (INSAF), Tata Sumo Van Operator Association, Sikh United Front (SUF), Bharat Tibet Samvad Manch (J&K), J&K Christian Association, Swarnkar Sangh Jammu, Maharaja Hari Singh Vichar Manch Jammu, OBC Department Pradesh Congress Committee, National Youth Bhagat Organization, Gou Rakshak Organization, Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference and many others.
The Chamber of Commerce, the Traders Federation and Retailers Association have also extended their full support for observing Bandh on August 29.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Bar Association led by its President M K Bhardwaj called on Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal at his residence this evening and apprised of demands and grievances.
The Chief Justice gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured to bring the demands and grievances to the notice of the Government.
