PATNA, Dec 15:
Union ministers Pawan Kumar Bansal and Manish Tiwari will address a state-level Congress workers meeting here on December 24 to make them aware of steps taken by the UPA government for the poor and the downtrodden.
Bihar PCC President Chaudhury Mehbood Kaiser said Bansal, Railway Minister and Tiwari, Information and Broadcasting Minister would also focus on the alleged failure of the ruling NDA in Bihar.
He said 22 lakh new members were added to the party through its membership drive last time. The party now plans to launch a fresh drive for enlisting 50 lakh new members.
Kaiser said in view of the next Lok Sabha elections, a big rally has been planned by the party here in March. Congress President Sonia Gandhi and AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi would be requested to address it. (PTI)
