Ban on tuitions

Sir,
This has reference to the  news item ‘Teacher can’t take up assignment without permission’ DE Jan 5, 2017.
The directive to Government school teachers by the School Education Deptt for not taking up any activity/assignment including teaching in private institutions or coaching centres if implemented, will definitely inculcate among Government teachers a sense of honesty towards society. They should rather work for an extra hour in their respective schools for producing effective result in comparison to private schools.
The teachers especially  teaching secondary and senior secondary classes either have their own tuition centres or work in some tuition centres on sharing basis. They are just doing their marketing job in  school classes , motivating  the students to come and join their centres. This way most of the innocent students are admitted to  their tuition centres. They exploit  innocent students of 10th (non board option)and 11th class students (school exam only) by increasing their scores by wrongful means and keep their parents in dark with the results the students remain deprived of the basic concepts, they otherwise have to learn. This system is adversely affecting the career of most of the students when they score low in 12th standard.
It is suggested that ban should be extended to both the teachers- Government as well as private. This way performance of teachers will improve to a great extent.
Yours etc…..
