Bali visits PHC Bhalwal, takes stock of healthcare facilities

JAMMU, Sept 30: “Two model hospitals will be established in each constituency of the State so that better health care facilities could be provided to the people”, Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment Bali Bhagat said this during his visit to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Bhalwal to take stock of functioning of the institute.
At PHC, Bali Bhagat interacted with the staff and the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided in the centre. He directed medicos and para-medicos to extend their services with utmost zeal and dedication to uphold the dignity of this noble profession.
He said that Government would bring more reforms to further improve the health delivery system, particularly in rural and far-flung areas of the State. He urged upon the health fraternity to re-double their efforts to maintain the tempo of better delivery of health services to the patients. He said that the people have high expectations from the medical fraternity and they should perform their duties with best of their abilities and as per medical ethics.
Bali Bhagat said that up gradation and improvement in the existing hospitals and extension of health care facilities to rural and border areas should be taken as a mission by all involved with this sector.
Bali Bhagat said that the Government is expanding a vast network of better healthcare facilities to every part of the state. He also appealed to the people to help the Government in maintaining discipline and cleanliness in the health institutions for their own benefit.
The Minister also accessed the availability of land for the construction of Spinal injury Hospital at Bhalwal sanctioned under Social Welfare Department. He said that with the execution of Spinal Injury Hospital at Bhalwal, the people of the State would get better medicare facilities in this regard.
