JAMMU, Jan 28: Former Minister and MLA Raipur-Domana, Bali Bhagat today launched the work of development of two drains involving a cost of Rs. 3.25 lakh in Ward No. 59 at Paloura.
The construction of drains was a long pending demand of the locals and it will benefit the entire ward. The MLA directed the executing agency to ensure quality work and complete it in a time bound manner.
The locals also brought into the notice of the MLA some other burning issues pertaining to the area and requested for addressing the same on priority. He assured to examine the same on priority for their appropriate disposal.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bali also laid foundation of Shiv Temple at Barnai and performed the traditional Shila Poojan in the presence of large number of locals. On the occasion, he appealed the people to maintain communal harmony and strengthening the bonds of ethical values, rich culture and traditions of the Jammu and Kashmir which were mandatory for the overall growth of the society, he added.
