JAMMU, Dec 6: Aam Aadmi Party’s Trade Union President, Sewa Singh Bali, today raised demands of Special Police Officers (SPOs), disengaged SPOs, NHRM employees, beneficiaries of Awas Yojana and ration card holders in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing a press conference at the party office, here today, Sewa Singh Bali said that SPOs working in Police Department are facing discrimination as no regularization policy has been formulated by the Government.
He also raised the issue of disengaged SPOs whose services have been terminated by the Police Department without assigning any reason. These SPOs have reached such a stage in their life where they have become in- eligible for other Government jobs and the Government must re-engage them, he added.
Appreciating the work done by NHRM workers during Covid pandemic, Bali demanded that services of these employees should be regularized by the Government taking into consideration the fact that pandemic is still prevailing.
Sewa Singh Bali also demanded that the Government should organize camps on weekly basis in villages to remove difficulties of ration card holders.
