Bali for security to PM package, reserve category employees posted in Valley

JAMMU, Dec 6: Senior BJP leader and former minister Bali Bhagat has expressed grave concern over the release of hit list of over 50 Kashmiri Pandit employees appointed under PM Package scheme and sought adequate security for the aforesaid category as well as reserved category employees presently posted in Valley.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior BJP functionary said that the Government should ensure failsafe security arrangements for these two categories of employees looking into the vulnerability over their security.
It is pertinent to mention that TRF, an offshoot of LeT has issued a threat on a blogging site naming 56 Kashmiri Pandit employees appointed under PM package scheme in Valley.
Bali Bhagat has come in full support of the aforesaid categories of employees claiming that it is the responsibility of the Government to provide foolproof security to the KP employees posted in Valley. He said that already these categories of employees have been protesting against threats to their lives after the targeted killings.
The former minister made it clear that these employees’ demand is genuine as they are not seeking any increment or bonus for remaining posted in Valley rather they want surety on their security as under the present circumstances it has become difficult to work in Valley especially after open threats with exact details of their places of posting and other vital information.
The senior BJP leader urged LG Manoj Sinha to look into the matter considering the threat perception and concede to the demand of these two categories of employees who are assuring to resume duties after the situation gets conducive and peace returns.
