Addressing an impressive gathering after inaugurating the annual Baisakhi Mela at Nagbani near here today, the Minister said that younger generation is distancing itself from their culture and traditions and getting attracted towards the westernization, which is harmful for the society. He said the need of the hour is to promote traditional cultural values to keep the younger generation connected with their roots. The festivals and Melas are the events to highlight and promote the culture and local traditions, said the Minister.
