JAMMU, May 17: The recently released updated booklet containing details related to welfare schemes of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, was presented to Sajjad Gani Lone, Minister of Social Welfare by Vice-Chairperson of the Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, here today.
On the occasion Balbir was accompanied by Manager Finance, Anil Gupta.
Balbir, while briefing the Minister, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of J&K SC, ST & BC Development Corporation, said that the booklet is updated one which has all the details about welfare schemes, loan process, required formalities to be provided to avail financial assistance by the unemployed people belonging to the reserved categories.
He said that the booklet is available at every district office of the Corporation and also these details are available on the website of the Corporation, so that any one desirous of applying for the loan can get accurate information in advance and accordingly make up his or her mind and get the financial assistance to set-up own earning unit.
The Minister was further told that the booklet also contains details about educational loan facility for meritorious students of the reserved categories.
Sajjad Gani Lone, while appreciating the initiative of the Corporation to come out with a published document on welfare schemes for the benefit of the weaker sections, expressed hope that more and more people will have access to the booklet.
