JAMMU, Apr 6: BJP State Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan has said that it is really disgusting that the Congress leader contesting election from Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Constituency is making statements reflecting total immaturity and ignorance of the ground realities.
“The candidate is new face for the Constituency and also new entrant in Congress. His baseless, meaningless and misleading statements will not have any impact on the public, which is much more mature, well informed and acknowledges the development brought by the BJP candidate, Dr. Jitendra Singh during the last five years,” Ratttan stated in a handout.
He also said that Congress candidate should himself visit the ground to see developments that came up during the term of Dr. Jitendra Singh.
“Dr. Jitendra Singh has brought number of development projects and welfare schemes in erstwhile Doda as well. Some of them have been completed, few are in progress and many more stand approved/sanctioned, which include opening of Post Office Branch in Gandoh, 100 bedded ISM Hospital in Kishtwar, Degree College in Paddar, enhancement of salary of SPOs from 3 thousand to 12 thousand, 1000 MW capacity Pakkal-Dool Power Project, 600 MW capacity Keeru Project, Medical College for Doda, upgradation of Bhaderwah Radio Transmitter, All India Radio Transmission Station in Patnitop, adoption of village Bhattan in Kishtwar and Humbal in Doda districts under Sansad Gram Yojana and so on,” Balbir Ram mentioned.
