Bal Krishan Gupta elected TNDC president

JAMMU, Aug 17: Bal Krishan Gupta has been elected as president of Trikuta Nagar Development Council (TNDC).
The election for the post was held on August 15, 2014 here at Trikuta Nagar under the supervision of Narinder Kumar Gupta as consentient election commissioner.
SC Verma, Ex-Corporator, Ward No 53, proposed the name of Bal Krishan Gupta for the post of president, which was seconded by Tarsem Kumar Gupta and Kulwant Singh. As no other name came forward, Bal Krishan Gupta was unanimously elected as president of the council for the next term.
The newly elected president later after consultation with senior members announced the elevation of Vijay Gupta as chairman. He also nominated Jagmohan Gupta as general secretary and Narinder Gupta as treasurer and announced that the rest of the office bearers will be nominated in due course of time.
Earlier, before the commencement of election process, Bal Krishan Gupta highlighted the achievements, feats and realization of the Council during last five years including repair of drains and by lanes and installation of flood lights on crossing points.
On the occasion, SC, Verma, Ex-Corporator was honoured for his active selfless and dedicated support to the Council, by presenting him a shawl.
The Council also presented shawls to JMC and PDD employees deputed in Trikuta Nagar area as a token of remembrance, love and affection. Those JMC employees who were presented shawls include Sanitary Inspector, Suresh Sethi and Supervisors, Sanjay and Harjit Singh while the PDD employees include Kulvir Singh (Foreman), Krishan Kumar, Prem Kumar, Romesh Kumar and Girdhari Lal as Linemen, Bal Krishan and Swarn Raj.
