Aadhaar used to trace family

JAMMU, Sept 21: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Ramesh Kumar and staff of Bal Ashram, RS Pura today united a missing boy with his family of Taran Taran, Punjab after making lot of efforts.
Shinder Singh son of Darshan Singh R/o Taran Taran in Amritsar district of Punjab was lodged in Bal Ashram, RS Pura by the staff of Social Welfare Department on July 2 this year as he was found alone and was not mentally fit.
The staff opted for new Aadhaar registration of the boy to locate his already registered address and were successful in their mission.
“The technology paid off and boy’s parents-Darshan Singh and Maya Devi turned out to be residents of Taran Taran, Punjab. They were contacted and asked to take back the boy, which they did,” the officials said.
The boy was finally re-united with his family in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and other officers including Ranbireshwar Singh, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Shalini Sharma, Chairperson CWC, Sanjay Gupta, DIC Jammu and Vikrant, Superintendent, Bal Ashram among others.
