KATHUA, Dec 10: The Bar Association Kathua (BAK) suspended the two days old strike till Wednesday after the assurance given by District Magistrate Kathua and SSP Kathua who have approached office of Principal District Judge Kathua seeking his intervention to end the ongoing strike by members of Bar Association.
Soon after the assurance of DDC and SSP the BAK called the meeting of its Executive Body. The President of Bar Association, Advocate Arvind Gupta said that demands as already projected in a memorandum were taken up. With the active intervention of Principal District and Session Judge, Kathua the Bar members agreed to suspend ongoing agitation.
The Bar demanded though SSP Kathua agreed to recommend the transfer of CPO Courts, Kathua and till his transfer is effected the CPO courts should report at SSP Office.
It further demanded that the subordinate staff of SSP office should also be transferred and the DDC should recommend to the competent authorities regarding withdrawal of challan.
