Bail denied to 2 accused in attempt to murder case

KATHUA, Feb 26: District Judicial Mobile Magistrate Hiranagar Sumati Sharma has rejected bail application of two accused persons in case FIR No 13/2020 U/S 307, 341, 34/IPC of P/S Hiranagar who were allegedly involved in a criminal conspiracy and with common intention to eliminate one Rohan Singh, S/o Davinder Singh of Gurha Beldhara Kumar Hiranagar.
According to police on 12-02-2020 victim Rohan Singh, R/o Gurha Beldhara while returning home when reached near Degree College, Hiranagar was assaulted by two persons after restraining his path and made a murderous assault on him causing multiple injuries on his abdomen and other parts of body with a sharp edged knife. When hue and cry was raised, some persons came on the spot and assailants fled from there. In this regard an FIR No. 13 of 2020 for offences under sections 307, 341, 34/IPC was registered and investigation began.
During investigation, the accused namely Sandeep Kumar, S/o Suresh Kumar R/o Chapper More Hiranagar and Ram Prasad S/o Khemraj R/o Panj Gran were arrested.
While rejecting the bail application of accused persons’ court observed that prima facie material is in support of allegations leveled against the accused persons. There is good prima facie evidence that the accused persons have committed the offence punishable with imprisonment for life and these accused have shredded the peace in the area with their terrible act and statement of the injured is yet to be recorded. With these observations the court rejected the bail application.
