JAMMU, Nov 18: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Bhagwan Dass, who was facing trial in rape with mentally retarded girl.
While rejecting the bail, Presiding Officer observed, “rape is one of the most heinous crime against a woman and it insults womanhood, violates the dignity of a woman and erodes her honour”, adding “this crime also violates to the life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
