JAMMU, Jan 14: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, R S Jain today rejected the bail application of Mehar Ahmed Bhat, who was facing trial in NDPSA case.
The narco smuggler was arrested on November 17, 2014 by Gangyal Police along with 30 kilograms of poppy straw.
“The NDPS Act is aimed at curbing the ever increasing menace of drug peddling. The drug peddling has its ramifications on the society and the youth in particular. It causes increase in the crime rate”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
